By burning glass on wood Jonah Ward produces a series of works. An intricate web of line is spun. Protrusions and darkness sweeps the wooden boards of a plain neutrality. A division of space is the division of a time based process that the artist harnesses iron rods and 2100 degree temperatures. The artworks showcase a older art practice that is an exhibition of technique and concentration. Through perception of these works, our subconscious plays a roll in signifying important marks and detail that we value as having meaning to us. The work may also be controversial. New series of photographs by Michael Wolf exploring confined space.Breath, condensation and unnatural lighting adds years to the faces of the Japanese metro commuters. The photographs bring out a suffering in the peoples expressions. The metro brings out an undefined sadness in them. There is a strong depiction of a narrative. The commuters may be reliving sad uncomfortable memories. Each passenger is so far away in thought, but the physical proximity to one another is imploringly claustrophobic. This comparison makes way for quite fantastical images, straight from the storyboard.

Lizzie Hughes second empire state building, a Insightful interview with a skyscraper revealing a collection of undramatic and sometimes comic responses to the question of which floor the receptionists company is based. Confusion, misunderstanding and melancholy highlight some of the esoteric personalities residing within the capitalist monument of the empire state building.

A short (conversation) with 80 workers on 80 floors could go without mention of the unique event during coffee break chit chat. It is a simple unknown naivety that the listener picks up on. There is a great sense of the deconstruction of building from within that has been archived by this work.

The anthropomorphic quality distills a good question of human communication and internal mutterings of trust and doubt. The smooth voice over the phoneline disarms the receptionist. There is only one instance where her motive is questioned. There is a certainty of this being different post nine eleven.
